SUMMER CAMPS
Glenoaks Stables popular summer riding camps are back again for the 12th year.

Sessions are open to riders of all levels. Each session runs from 8:30-2:00 Monday to Friday. We divide students into small groups matched by age and experince of approximately five children. Under the supervision of our professional coaches, students will spend the day having fun and learning all about horses. Activities include:

1. Riding: instruction appropriate for the student's level and the always popular pony games

2. Basic Horsemanship: Learn to properly groom, lead, saddle and bridle a horse. Campers learn body parts, colors and markings, and basic horse care such as health care, feeding, shoeing and hoof care.

3. Vaulting: Campers work on balance and coordination by learning a variety of gymnastics excercises while the horse is on a lunge line. This helps campers develop a "solid seat" while buiding confidence around with horses

4. Arts and crafts and other activities such as observing the farrier or veterinarian.

The minimum age for camp is 6 years.

Session fees are $500 per camper. After-hours care is available for $10/hour with prior arrangement.
